The shop was closed last week while Mary went to bow restoration masterclass with master bow maker Lynn Hannings at Claremont College in California. Mary concentrated on fixing warp, along with work on eyelets and some work on camber. It seems as if we are seeing more and more warp these days, especially in student-grade bows. I’ll talk more about warp in coming blogs.
I’ve been telling people that the shop will reopen on June 19, but the FedEx people tell us that our tools won’t get back here until Wednesday, so we’ll take this opportunity to clean and organize. We’ll be back to work on bows on June 20.
